Over a hundred Shri Jayant Dandekar’s Senior Citizens Pandharpur Padyatra pilgrims were introduced to this simple and easy-to-execute set of exercises developed by Dr Gauri Joshi. Twice a year, Dr Gauri Joshi organises a mass seminar to train financially-challenged people in the art of Reiki. The fees are very nominal. And the response has always been tremendous.

For nearly five years, on every third Thursday of each month, Dr Gauri Joshi has been holding discourses on the Bhagwad Gita. The discourses are attended and appreciated by people from all walks of life.

At Hadapsar, a Bhakti Sangeet programme was sponsored by Morepeace™. The famous Mrs Sampada Vipat and her group performed for the Shri Jayant Dandekar’s Senior Citizens Pandharpur Padyatra pilgrims. While Mrs Vipat was singing Raag Malhar, a heavy rain shower occurred. The miracle was acknowledged and appreciated.

At Nira, on the Pune-Solapur Road, our role model, Dr Gauri Joshi presented a musical programme for the Shri Jayant Dandekar’s Senior Citizens Pandharpur Padyatra pilgrims. It included bhajans, ghazals and bhav-geet. Dr Gauri Joshi was accompanied by professional musicians. The programme was a great stress-buster for the tired pilgrims.

The Pandharpur Padyatra is a long gruelling journey. Even more so, for senior citizens. Most of them succumb to various ailments on the way.
